Facebook now added an improvement to their notifications system, along with some other developer updates that are going on. You can now turn off the types of notifications you don’t want, right from the notifications drop down menu.

It was supposedly released to users in May, but it’s now been released to more people. If you’re like me and don’t have it yet, it should show up soon.

All you have to do is go to the notifications drop down menu and if you hover over the notification you want to get rid of, a small ‘x’ should appear on the top right corner.

Developers can track how many people turn off these things from their apps.
